YUM! Our 17 month old daughter loves them. When we heard about these new pouches, they were a _must try_. We couldnt decide on a fruit combination, so we ordered a case of each. This worked out well, because the order qualified for amazons free shipping. They arrived very quickly in easy to open cases.

We consolidated them to a box in the pantry so we could get to them faster and because those pouches can kind of slide around. :) Our daughter is all about choices right now and so we let her decide which one she’d like to try first. She looked carefully at each of them then said “NANA! ARN! BUH-NEE! HOP! HOP!” and so chose the Mango, Banana and Orange…and it remains her favorite of the three (although, she would never give up the others if offered).

Now, the plane ride…we recently took a trip to visit grandma from San Jose to Austin – a 4+ hour airflight that we were somewhat nervous about. We packed our fruit pouches and other goodies. It became a special treat as we rolled out to the tarmac and then took off into the sky. She happily ate and when she was done, sat quietly and contently looking at the pouch…pointing at the bunny and the orange and the banana, (we told/showed her there was a mango too).

When we ran out of pouches, we went to the whole foods – but they were not yet available there. They did have another brand, which we reluctantly purchased because unlike the peter rabbit pouches – the cap was so tiny, it could be a serious choking hazzard should it get into the hands (or mouth) of our little lady. The combination was also different and she didnt really care for the other kind as much.

Though she cant say alot of words, she does sign quite a few and she runs to the pantry, points and signs “more, please…more please!! please!!” Which is pretty funny to see.

We took some video the day they arrived, I’ll have to see if I can find it and post as part of the review.
Most excellent organic fruit snack. Packs and stores easily no refiegeration, no mess. and no fuss. The granbabies ages 1,2,3, 5,9 & 10 loves these as well as the parents and us the over 50 grandparents. Try them you will love them.

As someone who has gone from cooking for 4 to now cooking for 1-2 I’m having to adjust recipes to make smaller portions. Chicken broth is a grocery item that I use in many recipes but small (8oz) portions are not available at any of the local grocery stores in my hometown. I ordered this because of the convenience of being able to open only what I need but I will continue to purchase not only because of size but taste. The taste is awesome compared to Swanson’s, Campbells, Sweet Sue, etc. This broth has no clumps of fat floating as with previously mentioned brands and it’s not high in sodium. It is organic, healthy, gluten free and tastes GREAT!

If you’re used to those best-selling boxed raisins that feature a health woman happily working in the fields, get real, and then get Newman’s Organic Raisins.

One “secret” may be the ingredients: Raisins. C’est tout. Make that ingredient, in fact. THe only thing missing is Newman’s usual story on the package–usually some wild, adventurous story shedding light on the product, and featuring Mr. Newman as raconteur-narrator. Perhaps with raisins this classically delicious, we must resort to the Latin –”Res Ipsa Loquitor” — the thing speaks for itself. Unbelievable.

I don’t feed my kids in the car. OK, I’m lying. But I try really, really hard not to. Who in their right mind would hand their toddler a freaking pouch of goo, and say “have at it”? No sane person.

I do. They latch onto these things like a deranged octopus and go to town. Not a drop left. Not a drop spilled. We’re talking a 15 month old and a 28 month old here, people. If that’s not impressive to you, if that doesn’t soeak highly of this product, you obviously do not have children. And if you don’t have kids, you can still enjoy these slurpy delights. My husband, The Skeptical Parent, took a swig and said “oh! It’s just fruit. Like, it tastes like, you know.. fruit.” Yes buddy. That’s the point. Yum. Enjoy.
My kids have tried all three flavors of the Peter Rabbit Organics Fruit Pouches and they LOVE them! I have a 16 month old and a 2 1/2 year old they went nuts eating the fruit pouches. It was really easy for both of them to figure out how to squeeze out the fruit so it wasn’t messy at all. I love the portability and no choke cap but most of all I just loved watching them eat them since they get so excited. My littlest started sobbing when I took the pouch away when it was all gone and my oldest wanted another one when he was done! Highly recommend and I plan on ordering more! My only wish is that they sold a variety pack on Amazon.

Coffee People Organic, Extra Bold K-Cups for Keurig Brewers (Pack of 50)

I have been a fan of Newman’s Own Organic Extra Bold Fair Trade blend for quite a while now. It has become my “go-to” coffee when using my Keurig B70 coffee maker. However, I am always looking for something new and when Coffee People’s Organic Extra Bold came out in Amazon’s new frustration-free packaging I had to give it a try.

The first thing that I noticed after brewing a cup was the aroma. It smelled more like freshly ground and traditionally brewed coffee than any other K-cup that I have tried (and I have tried dozens) with a rich, heady aroma. The taste was full with medium-high acidity and a pleasing amount of “bite”, as one would expect from a dark-roasted blend. A perfect cup for me when using the 7 1/4 oz. setting but I imagine that some will like the larger cup size as well. I think that this coffee is strong enough to deliver a rich cup even with 9 oz. of water. I also like the fact that it is a certified organic coffee.

As for the packing, Diedrich (who makes coffee under the Coffee People, Gloria Jean and Diedrich name) has worked with Amazon to reduce the amount of packaging needed for their K-cups. All 50 of the pods are in one, heavy-duty box with no additional packaging. I just ripped the top off and stuck the entire thing on my shelf. A nifty way to help reduce waste and a convenient way for me to buy my new go-to coffee!

Nutiva Organic Extra Virgin Coconut Oil, 15-Ounce Tubs (Pack of 2)

Nutiva’s Organic coconut oil is the best I’ve found. I’ve tried several brands, but nothing tastes as clean and pure as this. There is a definite undertone of coconut, but I like the flavor, even when frying eggs or eating it on cinnamon raisin toast. I recently had bloodwork done and my HDL (the good cholesterol) was an impressive 77—anything over 39 is considered in range; over 50 is heart protective). I attribute this great HDL number to using only coconut oil, butter, and olive oil in my cooking & drinking green tea.

Amazon’s Subscribe & Save offer is a great deal; I really like the 2 pack of these smaller (15 oz) jars. We’re a small household and I like keeping one jar sealed while using the other. Keep in mind that coconut oil is different than other oils–it is solid at temperatures under 72, so it will look something like shortening in the wintertime. Still tastes great and is wonderful to use in all kinds of cooking.

One more important detail: this is an organic, COLD PRESSED coconut oil. Others may be organically grown, but I’ve found some brands are hydrogenated to make them solid at room temperature (I won’t go into all the reasons this is not a “good thing”). Suffice it to say that any coconut oil you buy should be cold pressed (and that goes for your olive oil, as well). Google to find out why…

I love the smell of this product. I have tried other coconut oils, and they are not the quality of Nutiva. You can use this for so many things. It is a great, light-weight moisturizer. I also love to put it on my hair. It adds a great taste to smoothies, and I have also used it to cook with. This is a very versatile product. I love it.
